Do you want to make a difference for the children and young people cared for on one of our inpatient wards? We are looking for a psychologist who can and wants to meet the needs of our inpatients for psychological treatment. The units are located centrally in Stockholm, partly on Sachsgatan on Södermalm (behind Södersjukhuset) and partly on the St Görans hospital area.

BUP Stockholm's inpatient care activity is the largest in Sweden within child and adolescent psychiatry. The Acute and Inpatient Care Section consists of three units providing inpatient care and an emergency clinic.

The inpatient units provide care for children and young people with complex psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, depression, eating disorders, trauma, etc., sometimes in combination with e.g. social difficulties or neuropsychiatric disabilities. The care is provided in accordance with both the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) and the Mental Health Care Act (LPT).

Job Description

You will, together with other professions on the ward, work with child psychiatric assessment and treatment of our patients up to 17 years of age. The tasks include collaboration with, among others, schools, social services, habilitation, pediatric clinics, primary psychiatric care, and adult psychiatry.

Qualifications

You who apply must be a licensed psychologist with permission to work in Sweden and have work experience in psychological/psychiatric work with children and young people. You must also have training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

Employment Type

The position is a parental leave substitute until August 2027, full-time. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.

BUP Acute and Inpatient Care is part of BUP Stockholm. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and young people under 18 years of age within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Services (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we within BUP Stockholm have about 1,200 employees who meet over 22,000 children, young people, and their families every year.

- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.

- requires, in addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
