Here, specialists, experienced veterinarians, and veterinary nurses work together to provide our patients with the highest quality care – while creating excellent opportunities for learning and development.

We are now looking for veterinarians for a temporary position of approximately one year, with a start date as agreed, preferably in August or September.

About AniCura Specialist Veterinary Hospital Albano

Albano is located in Danderyd, just north of Stockholm, and is one of Sweden's leading veterinary hospitals. Following a major renovation in 2021, we are one of Europe's most modern veterinary hospitals, featuring advanced equipment, high medical expertise, and a wide range of specialist areas.

We offer everything from emergency care and intensive care to specialist care, general veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, and preventive care – 24/7, 365 days a year. Our ambition is to create the veterinary care of the future together.

About the Role

With us, you become part of the entire operation. Depending on your experience, you will work in the emergency department, outpatient clinic, ward, and eventually also in night operations.

We are primarily looking for experienced veterinarians who can work independently in several parts of the operation, but we also welcome newly graduated veterinarians. For those at the beginning of their career, the focus will initially be on the emergency department and outpatient clinic, with good opportunities for gradual further development.

The work includes day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as work during major holidays.

Why veterinarians thrive with us
  • One of Sweden's largest and most modern veterinary hospitals.

  • A wide variety of patient cases – from primary care to advanced specialist care.

  • Close collaboration with specialists and experienced colleagues across multiple disciplines.

  • Great opportunities for development and building broad competence.

  • Continuous learning through internal training and knowledge sharing in daily work.

  • Introduction and support tailored to your level of experience.

  • A culture characterized by collaboration, engagement, and care – for both patients and colleagues.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed veterinarian and want to develop in an operation where medical quality, collaboration, and continuous development are in focus.

You are either newly graduated or have several years of experience in small animal veterinary care. If you have specialist competence in canine and feline diseases (Step 1), it is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You thrive working in a team, are responsible, and appreciate a fast pace with varying patient cases. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for colleagues who want to contribute to a positive work environment and high-quality care for our patients.
