Working as a Coordinating Nurse on the Emergency UnitAs a Coordinating Nurse with us, you combine clinical work with a coordinating responsibility for the emergency operations. The role is to contribute to safe, professional, and accessible psychiatric care for patients with acute and urgent needs, while you, with support from management, plan and develop the work on the emergency unit.
You are responsible for counseling, psychiatric assessments, and coordinating care efforts in close collaboration with emergency physicians and other professions. The role also involves a specific responsibility to ensure a structured approach within the emergency unit.
The coordinating responsibilities include, among other things:
- Planning and coordination of daily work on the emergency unit
- Scheduling
- Introduction and support for new employees
- Updating routines and processes
- Development and improvement of working methods together with management and colleagues
You work independently, but never alone – around you is a multidisciplinary team with colleagues whom you collaborate closely with. Meet our nurses.
Main responsibilities:- Staffing the emergency phone with advisory and supportive conversations with patients and relatives
- Assessment and triage of patients with mental illness, including suicide risk assessments
- Participation in physician visits and independent follow-up of patients
- Home visits when assessment is needed due to deterioration
- Creation and updating of care and crisis plans
- Coordination and development of work within the emergency unit
Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend shifts, with schedules created in consultation with you.
Your new workplaceWeMind Psychiatry in Rinkeby is an outpatient psychiatric clinic with a psychosis clinic and an emergency unit. Approximately seven colleagues work on the emergency unit, valuing collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a good work environment, while a total of about 40 people work at the clinic.

About you- Registered Nurse (required)
- Specialist Nurse in Psychiatry (meritorious)
- Experience from similar work within psychiatry (meritorious)
- Experience in coordination or leadership (meritorious)
- Valid driver's license (Category B) (meritorious)
You are confident working independently and are accustomed to telephone- and video-based assessments. You have a structured approach, good collaboration skills, and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and contribute to operational development.
