Psykosvård Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council healthcare area. Here we bring together care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illness into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykosvård Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic illness. We work in multidisciplinary teams to make care and treatment around the patient as good as possible.
We now have a vacancy for a Nurse. Come and work together in a great team on ward M78.
Description
Ward M78 is a psychiatric inpatient ward focusing on the treatment of patients with long-term psychotic symptoms such as schizophrenia, delusional disorder, and schizoaffective disorder.
We work ethically with person-centered care, focusing on strengthening the patient's active participation and supporting their ability for self-care. We place great emphasis on providing our patients with a good reception and evidence-based care where the patient's own story forms the basis of their care plan.
M78 offers self-selected admission as a step to strengthen the patient's involvement, autonomy, and responsibility for their own care. The ward is located at Huddinge Hospital.
Responsibilities
As a nurse, you have a central role as a team leader and are responsible for leading the nursing care of our patients. You participate in rounds together with doctors and other staff, and perform standard nursing tasks such as venipuncture, medication management, and medical record documentation. We use "Take Care" as our medical record system. The responsibilities also include support conversations with patients, contact with relatives, and coordination with the municipality, outpatient care, and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have previous experience working in psychiatric care; specialist training in psychiatry is an advantage. We see that you as an applicant are flexible and can prioritize, plan, and perform your tasks to quickly adapt to changed circumstances. You are confident in your leadership role and delegate tasks clearly and fairly. We see that you have an easy time collaborating and communicating with your colleagues, even in pressurized situations. We often care for severely ill patients, so it is important that you as a nurse are calm, secure, and attentive to the patient's needs. You enjoy working closely with patients in their care and can work independently, while also appreciating working together with other professional categories to give the patient the best possible care. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Conditions
The position is a permanent employment. As an employer, we care about our employees' health and well-being and offer among other things:
- Flexible working hours
- Individual salary setting
- Competence development
- Free healthcare in outpatient care
- Wellness hour and generous wellness allowance (5000 SEK/year).
We warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Council:
- A register check is applied before a decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employment examination, according to current directives, which takes place through occupational health services before employment.
- In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
