We are looking for you who want to work with a customer focus to make every day as good and meaningful as possible for our elderly citizens.

We are Star Certified by the Swedish Dementia Centre and work based on the national guidelines for dementia care, including BPSD assessments and the dementia checklist.

This position is primarily based at one of the dementia units, but you will also work at the unit with a general focus. We also collaborate with other care and nursing homes by sharing our common resources.

Your role with us

Working as an assistant nurse means working with something of the best and most enriching there is – helping to make everyday life meaningful for our customers. A professional approach and good treatment are a matter of course for us. We constantly work with a customer focus, placing the customers' needs and wishes at the center. An important part of the work is to collaborate in a team regarding the customer for a good holistic view. You need to be solution-focused and able to work calmly and consciously with a low-affective approach. We have a positive attitude and understand the importance of a good work environment that we create together.

The work includes being a contact person for customers and holding one or more areas of responsibility or ombudsman roles. Good contact with relatives is important, and as a contact person, you become an important link for the customer to all involved parties.

You are offered a varied job with nursing interventions, activities, and delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff. Administrative tasks such as documentation in journals, creating implementation plans, and risk assessments are a natural part of the work.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that general transport to and from Åhaga is limited during early morning and late evening. So if you live outside the immediate area, you need to ensure that you can get to work without being dependent on local public transport.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse and have passed the care and nursing program or other education that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious if you have previous experience of working in care and nursing, from care and nursing homes, or if you have education in psychiatry or the dementia field.

Since communication and documentation are part of your duties, you need to have documentation and computer skills and be proficient in Swedish in speech and writing.

Åhaga is a care and nursing home with 29 places, of which 19 places have a dementia focus. We work with great professional pride and professional treatment. Our goal is that all our customers should feel safe and satisfied. We work continuously to develop the operations, among other things through annual development work where employee participation is important and takes place through created work groups.

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and people who need functional support, as well as people who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
