We are looking for an engaged and development-oriented special needs teacher who wants to be an important part of our student health work. We are looking for someone who is not content with just identifying obstacles, but who actively contributes to creating solutions together with students, teachers, and guardians.
We believe that successful student health work happens close to the teaching and close to the students. Therefore, presence in the classroom, collaboration with teachers, and a solution-focused approach are important parts of the role.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support teachers in working with extra adaptations and special support.
- Provide support for students in our flexible activities.
- Conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations.
- Draw up, follow up, and evaluate action plans.
- Lead student health meetings and be an active part of the student health team.
- Collaborate with guardians and external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) and social services.
- Be present in classrooms to observe, support, and develop learning environments and teaching.
- Contribute to the school's systematic quality work and drive school development based on operational needs.
We are looking for someone who
- Is educated as a special needs teacher.
- Has experience working in primary and lower secondary school, preferably grades 7–9.
- Has good knowledge of pedagogical assessments, extra adaptations, and special support.
- Is confident in mentoring colleagues and leading professional conversations.
- Has a relational approach and good collaboration skills.
- Is solution-focused, proactive, and wants to contribute to the school's development.
