About the Operations

The Kitchen Unit is part of the Community Planning Administration and works with great commitment to promote healthy eating habits and a sustainable lifestyle. Within the operations, we are responsible for seven kitchens where approximately 30 employees together prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for preschools, schools, and leisure activities, as well as meals within elder care. This position is located at Landeryd School Kitchen, which is a reception kitchen with some cooking and belongs to a preschool and primary school. Here you become part of an engaged group working to create good and nutritious meals in a pleasant environment.

Job Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant at Landeryd School Kitchen, you will have a varied and practical daily routine where you work closely with your colleagues in the kitchen. You are involved in meal preparation, handling of food, dishwashing, and cleaning, and contribute to the kitchen maintaining a high standard regarding hygiene and order. You also participate in serving meals and contribute to a safe and pleasant meal environment for the students. The work involves good cooperation with colleagues and contact with both students and school staff.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who thrives in a service-oriented role and has an interest in food, people, and good quality. You are responsible, flexible, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have a positive attitude and contribute to a good atmosphere in the work group, as well as having a desire to learn and develop in the work.

For the position, we see that you have:

• Experience working in a kitchen, large-scale kitchen, or restaurant is an advantage
• Knowledge of food hygiene
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Good sense of service and professional demeanor
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license
