Kunskapsskolan in Sweden, which also includes Kunskapsgymnasiet, started its first schools in 2000 and today has 29 elementary schools and six upper secondary schools with 1,350 employees and 14,400 students. Kunskapsskolan is owned by its founder, Peje Emilsson, and his family.

Kunskapsskolan Varberg is an elementary school for grades 4–9 and currently has approximately 300 students. The school started in 2015 and is centrally located in Varberg, a five-minute walk from the central station.

Kunskapsskolan Varberg is looking for a Kitchen Manager

At Kunskapsskolan Varberg, the kitchen staff work closely with the rest of the school staff to create a good school environment. We work relationally with our students to increase safety and well-being at the school. As Kitchen Manager, we want you to be a central point for our students and contribute to safety and well-being in the school's lunch environment, as well as outside of it.

Kunskapsskolan Varberg is a receiving kitchen, which means that the food is cooked elsewhere and transported to the school. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for the kitchen, serving line, and dining hall.

The role of Kitchen Manager involves running the daily operations in our school kitchen. The tasks included are:

• Self-control and food safety. Knowledge of HACCP and documentation to ensure the highest quality.
• Primary responsibility towards our food supplier to secure and develop food delivery/food waste, etc.
• Supervise school meal assistants via our food supplier.
• Responsible for receiving food, serving, and dishwashing, as well as orders to the supplier.
• Create a pleasant environment in our dining hall.
• Responsible for the school's food council.
• Administrative elements are included in the position.
• Cleaning of the kitchen and serving line.

As Kitchen Manager at Kunskapsskolan, you have a term appointment, which means that working days coincide with student days plus certain days beyond these (188 days/year). The salary is distributed evenly over the 12 months of the year.

The working hours are scheduled for approx. 08:00–14:30 Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food handling.
• Are relational as a person and find it easy to handle social situations, both with students and staff.
• Are efficient and well-organized.

Advantageous Qualifications

Previous experience working in a school kitchen.

Position Details

The position is a permanent employment, with a probationary period of 6 months. The position is part-time 80%, term appointment.
