Work in the dining room with us at our lovely “Diner” & Café at the Vineyard in Fjärås!

We are looking for: A waitress or waiter with restaurant experience, who is happy to take a little extra responsibility for the overall operation in the dining room!

We are offering a permanent full-time position (80–100% depending on agreement), starting September 1st, 2026. There is an opportunity to work extra during July & August, and potentially start the position earlier!

Who are we?

We are the newly established, family-run, and popular vineyard where Swedish 60s style collides with the American countryside. In a lovely rural setting outside Fjärås, you will find this pleasant excursion destination for the whole family!

In our Café, Restaurant & Bar, we offer homemade baked goods, our own soft-serve ice cream, and from-scratch meals made with local ingredients in a charming retro setting. Here, Grandma’s cake recipes coexist with Smashburgers, artisanal pizzas, and plenty of other delicious treats from both our Halland culinary tradition and American Diner culture. Here you can enjoy locally produced drinks, wine from our partner vineyards across Europe, and in the near future, our own produced wine!

Enjoy the evening sun on our magical outdoor terrace with a view of the vineyards and feel how you are transported abroad!

Outside the winery, you can admire Roland’s beautiful cars, and the children can play!

We also have a small farm shop, and we host conferences, weddings, theme evenings, tastings, and other bookings even outside regular opening hours. We are an all-year-round open operation!

Who are you?

You are passionate about the guest experience and working as a team together with your colleagues in the kitchen and dining room for this common goal! You have an eye for keeping things neat and fresh, making the guest feel seen, ensuring employees thrive, and enjoy juggling many balls in the air!

Experience with restaurant booking and cash register systems is a merit. You are happy to answer the phone and emails when needed and represent us outwardly in this manner.

You are responsible and genuine, but are not afraid to jump in with dishes and cleaning where needed!

You work closely with your direct manager, our overarching Food & Beverage Manager, who is both a Sommelier & Head Chef but also handles personnel responsibilities, scheduling, menus, cash systems, etc. You support her in certain responsibilities, especially regarding the dining room, organizing bookings, and communicating with guests and staff. Therefore, you do not need to be a Sommelier yourself or have extensive food & drink knowledge from the start, as you can receive support and training in this over time.

However, you have an interest in the good experience: food & drink, especially you find it fun to learn about what we serve and to talk to guests about our local ingredients, etc. Education and previous experience are of course a merit, but most importantly, it is you as a person and your lovely attitude and joy of work!

You have a social aptitude for meeting people of all ages and categories, on their level; from directing the wine enthusiast correctly to meeting both coffee-drinking pensioners and playing families with children!

You also think it feels like a fun thing to work based on our theme: Swedish Retro Style meets American Diner!

You enjoy working evenings and weekends (as our main opening hours are Thursday–Sunday initially. [Thursday & Friday 16–late, Saturday 11–late (an early and a late shift that can alternate on the schedule) and Sunday daytime 11–18].

  • Next year, an expansion to all days of the week during the high season is expected, and working hours may then become more varied.

You have a driver’s license and access to a car, alternatively you live nearby, or have otherwise easy access to and from the Vineyard.

You are at least 20 years old and feel comfortable being solely responsible for service on site from time to time.

It is an extra plus if you also think it is fun to help with simpler tasks in the cold kitchen and baking, but absolutely not a must! Or if you perhaps have experience from a bar and/or café!

Application:

Via Email to [email protected]

Mark the email: Service Staff

Tell us a bit about yourself as a person, what you think you can contribute to us, and why you think you would thrive here! Feel free to attach CV & references if applicable!

For Questions:

Primarily via SMS to Milly at 0733 76 52 05, so I will get back to you as soon as I have the opportunity! We can also arrange a time to be called there!

It is of course also fine to email!

Hope you want to be part of our unique destination! We look forward to hearing from YOU so we can talk further!
