The Social Planning, Culture and Public Health Administration (SKF) is one of the broadest and most diversified administrations in the country, comprising seven units (Fire and Rescue Service, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Food Service Unit, Culture Unit, and Leisure Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. The Food Service Unit is a consolidated operation that produces and serves meals to guests of all ages. The operation consists of several preparation kitchens and reception kitchens spread across the municipality. Approximately 85 people work in our kitchens, distributed across 32 workplaces.

Description

Do you burn for good food cooked from scratch with a little extra care and with the goal of providing the best possible service? As a cook in our kitchens, you prepare meals and special diets with joy for food for our customers. We work with good food, a prerequisite for development, and at the same time give you the opportunity to gain broad experience from our kitchens.

The tasks include cooking, traditional and special diet cooking, and all other common tasks in the kitchen.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who have a cook education, are a cook, or have professional experience assessed as equivalent. Knowledge of special diets is meritorious. Orders may occur, for which computer literacy is a must. A B-driver's license is a requirement.

As a cook with a pool service at the Food Service Unit in Laholm Municipality, you are offered a varied job with great responsibility. You get a placement in a home kitchen, and when there is a need, you will work out in the operations. Both acute and planned absences are filled by the pool service, and you are available for all kitchens in Laholm Municipality, both schools and preschools as well as nursing homes.

We want you to be service-oriented and responsible. Great importance is placed on flexibility as you are expected to adapt with short notice, variations in working hours and tasks also occur, as does weekend work when the need arises.

You are initiative-taking and not afraid to try new things. You are careful and positive and manage to work both independently and in a group. You must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability. The job requires good physical fitness in the form of strength, endurance, and mobility.

Conditions

Salary spread for the position salary setting 2026: Lowest 30,000, Average 33,735, Highest 39,800 SEK/month. Salary is influenced by experience and knowledge.

Start date according to agreement, temporary position until 2027-01-31.

Interviews are conducted continuously.

Scheduled working hours Mon-Fri. Some weekend work and varied working hours may occur in case of urgent need for a substitute. Employment degree 80-100%.
