Are you an experienced process planner looking to work in a company where technology, quality, and production are in focus? On behalf of our client, Unik Resurs is looking for two specialists within process planning – one with a focus on Machining (CNC) and one with a focus on Surface Treatment and Plasma Cutting. Here you will have the opportunity to use your technical expertise to develop and optimize manufacturing processes in close collaboration with design, production, and production engineering. The positions are consultancy assignments based in Karlskrona with an initial contract period of six months.

Job Description and Responsibilities

As a Process Planner, you play a central role in the operations and act as the link between design and production. You are responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, quality-assured, and adapted for safe and cost-effective production.

We are looking for two individuals with different specializations – one within Machining (CNC) and one within Surface Treatment and Plasma Cutting. Regardless of the specialization, you will work closely with production, design, and production engineering to develop, improve, and quality-assure manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and create manufacturing plans and work instructions.
• Create operation lists and ensure correct manufacturing documentation.
• Interpret technical drawings and 3D/CAD data.
• Ensure that processes and methods meet quality requirements and standards.
• Participate in improvement and development work within production and manufacturing.
• Act as technical support for production and other internal functions.
• Contribute specialist expertise within the respective technical areas.
• Work to optimize manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.

These positions require you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions requiring security classification, citizenship requirements may apply.

Competency Requirements

For Process Planner – Machining (CNC)

• At least 3 years of experience in a planning, production engineering, or manufacturing role.
• Experience in process planning within the manufacturing industry, preferably in machining.
• Experience as a CNC operator and/or CNC technician in turning, milling, or multi-operation machines.
• Good understanding of cutting processes, tool selection, fixturing, tolerances, and machining strategies.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and 3D/CAD data.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

For Process Planner – Surface Treatment and Plasma Cutting

• At least 3 years of experience in process planning within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in plasma cutting, thermal cutting, or sheet metal processing.
• Documented experience in industrial surface treatment processes such as blasting, painting, corrosion protection, metallizing, or similar.
• Good knowledge of material properties and how different processes affect materials and the final product.
• Experience creating work instructions, operation lists, and manufacturing plans.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and 3D/CAD data.
• Knowledge of relevant quality requirements, standards, and process controls within surface treatment.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
