About the position
Abdominal Surgery is a surgical department with a broad mandate. We perform elective procedures in collaboration with several themes. The majority of our surgery involves malignant cancer surgery within gynecology, urology, lower GI, and endocrine surgery. We also treat patients with intestinal failure. Our activities also include brachytherapy for gynecological and urological cancer. For certain patient groups, we have a national catchment area and primarily perform highly specialized surgery.
Trauma, Vascular/Intervention, Obstetrics, and Emergency Surgery receives approximately 900 trauma patients annually. The trauma activity is one of the hospital's profile areas. We work with cohesive trauma teams where all professional groups play an important part in trauma management. We also handle elective surgeries within vascular, intervention, obstetrics, and acute reoperations in state-of-the-art operating rooms.
As an anesthesia nurse, you will rotate between Abdominal Surgery and Trauma & Emergency Surgery, giving you variety and broad experience. Your role involves planning and performing anesthesia in consultation with the responsible anesthesiologist and being an active communicator within the team. We offer flexible scheduling to suit your needs. The position is a permanent full-time role with days, evenings, and weekends. Night shifts will be possible after individual assessment. We apply the region-wide 24/7 agreement, meaning your weekly working hours will decrease the more night shifts you work.
