Do you want a broad and educational start within internal medicine in a workplace with close collaboration and good supervision? We are now looking for a junior doctor for the medical clinic at Norrtälje Hospital for a varied interim position where you follow the patient through the entire care chain – from the emergency department to the ward.

About the position

As a junior doctor with us, you will have a developing and varied job within the field of internal medicine. You work both on the ward and in the emergency department, where you meet a broad spectrum of patients and have the opportunity to develop your clinical competence under the supervision of experienced colleagues.

The position involves working during day and evening shifts, both on weekdays and weekends, and also includes some ward rounds together with specialist doctors. You will have an important role in the daily patient work and the opportunity to gradually build up your independence in the professional role.

This is an expression of interest, and we will contact you prior to a possible interview that coincides with the operation's needs during the year. It is important that you state a date for when your current employment or AT/BT ends.

Your duties include among other things:

• Ward work on an internal medicine and partly geriatric ward
• Work at the internal medicine emergency department during day and evening shifts
• Participation in joint rounds with specialist doctors
• Handling, investigation, and follow-up of patients

About you

For this position, you need:

• A degree from a medical education program

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Swedish medical license after completed AT or BT
• Experience working in internal medicine

We are looking for you who have good personal maturity and feel secure in your professional role, even when the work situation is varied and occasionally intense. You are proactive, take responsibility for your work, and contribute actively to your own and the operation's development. You have good cooperation skills and appreciate working in teams together with different professions. Furthermore, you are empathetic and have a genuine interest in the patient's needs, which permeates your approach and way of working. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your work effectively.
