About the workplace

Ersta Diakoni is Sweden's largest non-profit organization within healthcare and social care. We provide medical care, social work, research, and education, operating professionally and without profit motive.

Our social operations include nursing homes, home care services, LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities, and social support. Every day, we meet elderly people, individuals with disabilities, and people in vulnerable life situations with the goal of creating safety, independence, and quality of life.

As a Responsible Nurse (MAS) and Quality Developer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to safe and secure care in operations that make a real difference for many people. Here, care as a competence is combined with systematic quality and patient safety work where the individual's needs are always at the center. You will become part of a non-profit organization where development, quality, and humanity go hand in hand.

We offer you:

  • a meaningful job in a values-driven organization
  • the opportunity to influence and develop future care
  • engaged and competent colleagues
  • extensive contact areas and close collaboration with the operations
  • a workplace where we see the whole person – both those we serve and our employees
  • a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to thrive at work and have a rewarding leisure time.

About the role

This is a key role in our initiative to strengthen and further develop quality and patient safety work within our social operations. You will become part of our quality organization and work closely with the operations to ensure that care is provided with high quality, good safety, and in accordance with current legislation.

As a MAS/Quality Developer, you play a central role in ensuring good and safe healthcare within Ersta Diakoni's social operations. You act as a qualified support to managers and operations in matters concerning patient safety, quality, and safe care.

In the role, you will among other things:

  • ensure that operations provide safe and appropriate healthcare
  • support and guide managers in patient safety and quality work
  • be responsible for investigations according to Lex Maria and reports to IVO
  • support operations in deviation management, risk analyses, and self-inspections
  • develop, manage, and follow up on routines and guidelines within the healthcare sector
  • plan and conduct training and competence-enhancing initiatives
  • follow up on and analyze quality and patient safety results
  • conduct internal audits and contribute to the development of quality and patient safety
  • monitor the external environment and translate new knowledge into improvements in quality and patient safety
  • support operations in systematic improvement work and the development of quality work.

Who are you?

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you are a person who combines high professional integrity with a genuine commitment to quality and patient safety.

You easily build trusting relationships and collaborate well with people in different roles and operations. You are pedagogical and confident in supporting, guiding, and challenging managers and operations in their development work.

We also believe that you:

  • work systematically and have the ability to drive issues forward
  • are analytical and have good judgment
  • are receptive and have good collaboration skills
  • are unpretentious and contribute to a good working climate
  • thrive in a role with many contact areas
  • have the ability to translate legislation and requirements into practical and operation-oriented working methods.

You share Ersta's value base of seeing the whole person and our core values; professionalism, trust, and hope.

Your experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • a nursing license
  • experience working in healthcare, elderly care, or other relevant operations
  • good knowledge of healthcare legislation and patient safety issues
  • experience in quality and improvement work

  • good IT skills and experience working in digital systems.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:
