Support in Ordinary Housing is the municipality's provider of home care services. Our core mission is to provide support and assistance to elderly people living in the municipality. We aim to offer our users personal service and high-quality care day and night, year-round. Security, dignity, and continuity are important cornerstones that we work by. Our home care service is divided into the following areas: Jakobsberg, Viksjö, Kallhäll, and Barkarby.

We are now looking for dedicated employees for one of our units in Viksjö who want to work evenings and weekends on a part-time basis. The position is 63%.

Job Responsibilities

Daily tasks involve providing support and assistance to our users according to their needs and interests.

The work consists of helping users in their daily lives, ranging from personal hygiene to actively promoting a meaningful and stimulating existence. This means we need to work according to a schedule to be able to help as many people as possible. Other tasks include errands, laundry, cleaning, and accompaniment.

As an employee meeting with users and relatives, you often have the best overview of how to structure your day. You can take this knowledge and experience to the office, discuss with team leaders and colleagues, to find the best way to ensure a good work environment and quality of life for our users.

We work in the user's home, so it is important to be attentive, flexible, and adaptable to the individual. Smoking and pets may be present. You travel between workplaces by bicycle or on foot. You have pre-shift meetings and always end the day by ensuring documentation is completed to facilitate the next shift. We also offer ongoing training, development meetings, and opportunities for reflection and exchange with other units.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who exude calmness and can adapt to unexpected situations. You have strong empathy, social competence, and good teamwork skills. You treat customers, relatives, and employees with respect and can demonstrate professional conduct in all situations. Naturally, it is an advantage if you are familiar with and work according to the national value base for elderly care.

We want you to:

• be a certified assistant nurse (undersköterska) with a protected title issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare.
• have experience in elderly care.
• fluent in speaking and writing Swedish.
• have good computer skills.
• be able to ride both regular bicycles and e-bikes.

It is a merit if you:

• have previously worked in home care services
• have knowledge of documentation under the Social Services Act (SoL)
• have experience working with Phonirocare or other time-tracking systems
