About the job
Position type: Permanent position, 40 hours per week, probationary period applies.
Start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: Early mornings, daytime, as well as some evenings and weekends occur as a natural part of the work.
What will you do?
Every day offers a fast pace and new challenges, but some of your main tasks will be:
- Responsible for planning, leading, and developing the departments within your area of responsibility – both strategically and operationally. You have team leaders and a group of skilled store employees to help you, whom you also have personnel responsibility for.
- Responsible for daily operations, staffing, optimizing sales and profitability within the Fresh Food area, and actively working with sales management/sales planning, shrinkage, and self-control.
- Create and develop routines in daily work, as well as develop employees and departments within your areas.
- Drive the departments and develop the business and employees towards set goals together with your staff.
- Ensure a pleasant, efficient, and sales-oriented work environment.
- You are part of the store's management team and report to the Store Manager. The fresh food departments you will be responsible for are Bakery, Meat, Fish/Deli.
Who are you?
- You are skilled at creating and developing teams, are communicative and clear. You have a coaching approach, which means you delegate, give feedback, and follow up on work.
- You are strongly results-oriented and work efficiently to optimize the department's results and achieve set goals.
- Have the ability to inspire, motivate, and engage employees to create a positive work climate and a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
- Take on your role in the management team with great responsibility and can combine operational store work with actively contributing to strategic development issues.
- We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, especially your ability to inspire and engage employees to create a positive work climate.
We believe that you:
- Have a high school education, and master Swedish in speech and writing. Since our customers speak more languages, it is fantastic if you do too.
- Have several years of experience in retail and fresh food, preferably in a leading position.
- Have good knowledge within the fresh food departments.
- Have previous experience with self-control with knowledge in HACCP and work with food hygiene.
- If you have previous experience in a leading position or from another role with personnel responsibility, store economics, sales responsibility, staffing, and scheduling, this is meritorious.
- Are relationship-building and proactive with a great interest in customer service, people, and groceries.
