Children and young people are important in Ludvika! We demonstrate this by making children and young people the center of the municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and young people are gathered under a single committee. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and individual and family care. What all these operations have in common is a conscious quality work to constantly develop and improve the work with children and young people.
The Workplace
Sörviks School is a grades F-6 school with approximately 140 students. Together, we want to challenge the students and give them the opportunity early on to create interests that meet the needs of Ludvika's future. Our staff is dedicated and competent. The work in our operations is characterized by joy, flexibility, responsibility, and professionalism.
The school has an after-school center with dedicated staff who also offer quality break activities and various interventions in class and for students during the school day. We also participate in RF-SISU's movement project for schools, and through increased joy in movement, our students develop socially while their well-being increases. Our schoolyard and proximity to nature provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor activities.
The school is in an exciting phase where development regarding leadership and stimulation, as well as goal fulfillment, are highly focused on, and work on this continues. We have motivated, responsible, and driven certified teachers in all classes, as well as incredibly skilled teaching assistants who complement them in everyday work.
