Every day, we create meals that make a difference for the students at our municipal upper secondary schools. In our school restaurants, three well-prepared dishes are served daily, always with a vegetarian option. Our menu is both varied and modern – a combination of appreciated classics and current food trends. Almost all food is cooked from scratch, and we strive to use as many organic ingredients as possible to contribute to sustainable and nutritious meals. At our workplace, the students are at the center!

We are now looking for an operational kitchen manager for our operations.

Responsibilities

Are you a stable and service-oriented leader with a passion for cooking and creativity? As our operational kitchen manager, you will play a central role in our kitchen operations, where your holistic view of both food and teamwork is important.

The role involves planning and leading the kitchen team to ensure food quality. You will actively work on developing and implementing new dishes and ensure that all kitchen routines are followed to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. The assignment also entails close collaboration with other parts of the school to create a well-functioning operation.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and develop our kitchen, while also being part of a work environment characterized by quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained chef and have at least five years of experience working in restaurant kitchens. You have also worked as a kitchen manager with responsibility for workload distribution and economy. We would appreciate it if you have previously worked in the public sector.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have a stable foundation and are service-oriented in all aspects of your work. You have a natural aptitude for leadership and enjoy motivating and leading a team towards common goals. We are looking for a person with a holistic perspective, who can see and plan for the bigger picture in kitchen operations while keeping an eye on the details that make a difference in daily operations.

Your creative drive becomes a valuable asset when you contribute new ideas and working methods that develop both the menu and the kitchen's processes. You need to be flexible and adaptable, able to handle stressful situations, and maintain a positive attitude to create an inspiring work environment.

You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, as this is required in daily work.
