Welcome to us at the IT department – part of the University's Business Support. We are now looking for you who are curious, interested in technology, and want to be part of starting and developing the University's new service center, which will open in 2027.

Your responsibilities

Here, you will staff and develop our IT support and our upcoming Service Center. The role also includes being the functional manager for IT support. As the functional manager, you lead the daily work while simultaneously being a colleague in the team. In your role as a support technician, you work daily with user support and IT support.

You will:

  • lead and distribute daily work
  • drive the development of methods and processes within the area
  • work on continuous improvement of routines and processes to support a functioning service
  • take responsibility for developing the support operations by proposing and implementing improvements
  • document, update/maintain, and publish support documentation
  • staff our IT support and receive, resolve, prioritize, and drive support cases

Your qualifications

The position requires a bachelor's degree in the field or other post-secondary education in the field. Education can be replaced by long and substantial work experience that the employer considers relevant for the position. Furthermore, good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. You must have documented experience as a team leader, supervisor, functional manager, or other leadership position deemed relevant for the tasks. Additionally, you should have good knowledge of technology relevant to the tasks.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. You must have the ability to create structure and clarity in the work and ensure a consistent working method in the team. You are service-oriented with good communication skills and can work both independently and collaboratively.

Your employment

Type of employment: Permanent. A six-month probationary period may apply.
