You will step into a strategic assignment where you will analyze why an established analysis and decision support system is developing slowly and at high cost, while simultaneously pointing out the way forward. The environment is currently based on business-specific data sources, a data warehouse, and Qlik, but faces important choices related to future contracts, governance, and technical direction.

Here, you need to combine technical depth with a sharp business perspective. You work closely with internal stakeholders within business development and IT, while also reviewing collaboration with external parties. This role suits you if you thrive in complex organizations and can move from current state analysis to clear recommendations regarding architecture, delivery model, and vendor management.

• You conduct a structured root cause analysis of why current delivery capacity is low and costly.
• You analyze bottlenecks in competence and capacity, buyer and requirement maturity, governance, responsibility distribution, contracts, SLAs, pricing models, incentives, prioritization, and lead time processes.
• You assess how much of the challenge is technical versus related to governance, contracts, collaboration, or your own buyer role.
• You develop concrete action proposals and a roadmap, focusing on improvements within the existing cost framework before suggesting other changes.
• You highlight the pros and cons of different architectural alternatives, such as further development of the current solution, data lakes, and other future platforms.
• You translate business needs and emerging strategy into clear technical choices and recommendations for upcoming contracts.
• You compile educational decision support materials that work equally well for technical specialists and decision-makers.

• You are completely independent and product-neutral, with no financial interests tied to specific software or platforms that may become relevant.
• You have documented experience of at least 5 years in strategic IT architecture, solution design, or consulting within Business Intelligence (BI), data warehousing, or similar analytical platforms.
• You have conducted at least two similar investigation, assessment, or consulting assignments in complex organizations.
• You have a deep understanding of modern IT architecture, data storage, and information supply, including traditional data warehouses, modern data sharing platforms, and Data Governance.
• You have experience identifying root causes of poor delivery capability, even when the causes lie in requirement quality, buyer maturity, responsibility distribution, or contracts and SLAs.
• You can independently produce complex written analyses and high-quality decision support documents.
• You can translate business needs into technical alternatives and present complex relationships in a clear and educational manner.
