Job Responsibilities
This role involves investigative work, as well as administrative tasks and case processing within the Child and Education Administration's area of operations. The position entails independent work but also requires excellent collaboration skills. You will work closely with the administrative leadership and political steering. This presupposes that you are self-motivated and can drive your processes forward, but also collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, meaning it is important that you thrive in a service-oriented role. The role involves many different aspects and requires that you have a good ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Examples of tasks included are:
- writing service statements and other decision-making materials for both the Child and Education Board,
- conducting investigations individually and in collaboration with other departments and administrations,
- participating in and being responsible for various projects within the department's development areas,
- assisting the department with administrative tasks of varying nature.
About the Workplace
The primary task of the Child and Education Administration is to offer a safe and stimulating learning environment where we equip children and young people for the future. We also work to promote access to cultural and leisure activities for all residents.
The Child and Education Administration operates from a main vision that implies that every child and student should be given the conditions to succeed. The vision means an increased focus on the work of raising knowledge results in both the short and long term, and presupposes a reprioritization in the operations to reach the goal.
You will be part of the Department of Quality and Development, which has the task of supporting and contributing to the development of all the administration's operations. Within the department, there are four units, where you will be part of the Investigation and Development unit. Within the unit, there are two development teachers and two investigators/case handlers. Otherwise, within the department, there is the Central Child and Youth Health unit, the staff unit, and the catering unit.
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in the role, you have:
- a university/college degree in public administration, political science, or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position
- good IT skills
- very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience working in a municipal operation and/or knowledge of one of the administration's areas of operation (education and/or culture and leisure)
- experience leading projects independently
- experience in case processing
- experience working in digital case and document management systems, for example Public360
- knowledge within the municipal legal area such as the Administrative Procedure Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
