The Opportunity

We are looking for a Line Planner for Control & Protection (Material and Space) for HVDC to act as the center of expertise for planning and scheduling within the Line Planning organization. In this role, you will ensure that best execution practices are applied in tenders and projects, and you will actively contribute to planning, monitoring, and reporting these activities within your group. You will also provide operational support to project planners and project managers within the HVDC Control & Protection team on an ad-hoc basis. This is a role with many interfaces and interesting work tasks within engineering and supply chain planning.

This role requires operating with strict deadlines while conducting scenario-based analysis as a core part of daily responsibilities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • The Line Planner for Control & Protection (Material and Space) is responsible for overseeing the availability of material and space on a macro level to ensure timely delivery of the C&P scope within projects.
  • Support line and project managers in planning methodology and in understanding and analyzing the ordering, delivery, and availability of key material and space for Control and Protection.
  • The Line Planner develops specific expertise in the planning and execution of the line organization's scope in EPC HVDC deliveries.
  • Establish accurate scheduling methods and best execution practices, and ensure that this is reflected in the type schedules applied in projects and tenders.
  • Compile information, analyze, and make recommendations in formats that assist effective management and decision-making.
  • Work with line managers to align material and space requirements and availability according to the scope of projects and tenders.
  • Assist project managers in tenders and at the start of projects to ensure that best planning and execution practices are applied.
  • Identify and mitigate bottlenecks and risks to operational continuity from a material and space perspective.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in the process.

Your Background

  • You have a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and 5+ years of experience from engineering/supply chain planning/test space planning, preferably within the Energy sector.
  • You are structured, flexible, and hold some qualifications in project management.
  • You have skills in planning and controlling a time schedule and have prior experience using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • You have a genuine technical interest and are always open to developing your skills in other fields.
  • Knowledge of how to use Microsoft's Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in written/spoken English; Swedish language skills would be an advantage.
  • You are a dynamic and social person who enjoys working with people from various business areas and parts of the world.
