Make a difference. Every day.

We are now looking forward to welcoming a new anaesthetic nurse to our team!

Ystad Hospital is an acute hospital providing a wide range of specialized care, both emergency and planned. Around the clock, we offer healthcare with quality and accessibility, holistic perspective and care as our hallmarks. Approximately 5,000 surgeries are performed here annually, one-third of which are emergency surgeries. We plan to increase our capacity and efficiency as we are currently undergoing a major renovation to improve the working environment and logistics, enabling us to meet future needs.

The surgical department consists of general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and orthopedics. Our patients range widely in age, from children to older adults. We offer you a varied and interesting job in a welcoming work environment on a surgical ward with good morale and high ambitions. The employees' active engagement in influencing the ward's development is part of how we work. It is important that you are committed to your profession, thrive in a varied and non-hierarchical climate, and want to contribute to our high standard of care. We are working towards becoming a magnet ward and utilize the Competency and Service Model for employee development. We collaborate closely throughout the peri-operative care.

"What sets our ward apart from many others is that we can focus on one patient at a time. For this reason, we can truly build trust and make the patient feel safe. We are a relatively small unit with a pleasant work climate where everyone supports and helps each other regardless of professional category. We have good managers who back us up when needed and give us the opportunity to develop, as well as the opportunity to influence," says Susanne, anaesthetic nurse.

We value education and competence development and would like you to be active and willing to contribute to developing the operations together with your colleagues. Our introduction is a personal and adapted process aimed at helping you settle into your new role smoothly and efficiently.
