In Perstorp, you get the chance to broaden your knowledge within municipal operations, as you will work in both special housing, ordinary housing, and LSS/psychiatry. Here, you have the prerequisites to put your own stamp on how you want to work as an occupational therapist, and you can be part of the challenging journey that the municipal operations are facing with more advanced home healthcare and the work on good and close care.

The rehab group, your closest colleagues, consists of 2 physiotherapists, 3 occupational therapists, and 2 rehab assistants.

Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist with us in Perstorp, you work to enable the individual to live as independent a life as possible. You have the overall responsibility for rehabilitation together with the physiotherapist. You conduct assessments, training, evaluation, and follow-up, as well as fitting and follow-up of technical aids based on the occupational therapist's prescription rights. The work also includes informing, instructing, and supervising staff, patients, and relatives regarding rehabilitative and preventive measures. You will be involved in contributing to and teaching in our mobility training for nursing staff.

You will work with quality registers such as BPSD and Senior Alert, and Perstorp has for the second year in a row been named the Gold Municipality regarding Senior Alert work in special housing (Säbo).

As Perstorp is a smaller municipality, work involves special housing, home healthcare, LSS, and social psychiatry. Close collaboration occurs with other professions, team work, and work with discharge planning and planning based on "My Plans" when patients are to return home from inpatient care.

Weekend work may occur on some weekends and major holidays, involving monitoring patients admitted to the hospital who may be discharged over the weekend.

Documentation is done in the operational system LifeCare.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Previous experience in municipal primary care is meritorious.

For the assignment, you must also have the ability to independently plan and organize your work, but also collaborate well with other functions both internally and externally. You need to be flexible as tasks may vary. We see that you have a genuine interest and engagement in working with people, you like and are stimulated by challenges, and place great importance on good treatment and interaction.
