About the role and your responsibilities

Do you want to lead the work in creating a fun, safe, and educational preschool? Then this is the job for you! Principal Area 6 is now looking for a forward-looking and proactive special needs educator with education and experience within preschool operations.

Since the preschool is the first step in the education system, it is of great importance that the preschool environment is adaptable to meet all children from an inclusive perspective. As a special needs educator with us, you will, in close collaboration with the principal, deputy principals, fellow special needs educators, pedagogues, and guardians, work to provide all children with equal opportunities for learning and development. As a special needs educator, you and your colleague are directly subordinate to the principal.

You will supervise staff both individually and in work teams and be a major support in conducting mapping, developing action plans, and applying for extraordinary support. The assignment also includes support to pedagogues in the form of observations and reflections. You will work in the municipality's various digital systems related to the assignment, and parts of the position can be performed remotely, which gives great freedom to those who can take responsibility for planning and executing the assignment.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are trained as a preschool teacher with a preschool teacher license and who also have a degree as a special needs educator. As a special needs educator, you have broad knowledge and experience of the preschool's assignment based on current governing documents and the special pedagogical craft connected to this. It is meritorious if you have in-depth knowledge or education in ADHD/ASD (NPF), language, motor skills, and mathematics.

To handle the assignment well, you need to have knowledge and experience of various digital systems and tools, as well as the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. We place special emphasis on your communicative ability and your ability to create trust and confidence with different stakeholders. You have knowledge and awareness of SPSM's (National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools) operations.

• Clear; you communicate clearly and pedagogically in both speech and writing. You ensure that information and expectations are clear to all concerned and follow up to create consensus and participation.

About the workplace

Principal Area 6 consists of seven municipal preschools and one open preschool, with just over 400 children and 100 employees, in the central parts of the city of Lund. The special needs educator function consists of two positions, each at 75%. You are part of the special needs educator network within the preschools in Lund Municipality.
