We are looking for you who want to contribute to Sweden's internal and external security and support the staffing of the total defense. Are you the one we are looking for?

The Duty and Assessment Authority (Plikt- och prövningsverket) is responsible for ensuring that authorities and others receive the service and support they need when staffing their organizations with individuals subject to total defense duty. The Duty and Assessment Authority reports on the total defense's personnel and maintains the register of all Swedes who are war-placed.

You will work in the role of Personnel Registrar within the War Organization Unit, which is part of the Department for War Placement and Enrollment. In Karlstad, we are located in new and excellent facilities with good parking opportunities and about a 13-minute walk to the city center.

Your Responsibilities

You will, together with other personnel registrars, support organizations within the total defense in matters concerning war placement and war organization. Your work will include, among other things:

• Making independent administrative decisions regarding civil duty obligations concerning war placement and refresher training.
• Receiving, processing, and reporting back on war placement documentation from civil organizations.
• Ensuring that registers of war-placed personnel are up to date.
• Informing about our mission and training other total defense actors.

Your Qualifications

You have post-secondary education in society's crisis preparedness and total defense, political science, or equivalent as assessed by the employer as relevant. It is an advantage if you have previously worked within the total defense and have knowledge of society's crisis preparedness and current legislation.

Your personal attributes are of great importance to us. In the role of Personnel Registrar, you must be meticulous, flexible, and able to quickly respond to the requests and needs of clients and individuals. You enjoy working independently but also have the ability to create good collaboration spaces with colleagues and clients. You have a naturally high awareness of confidentiality and thus an understanding of the importance of integrity in your work.

About the Employment

The employment is permanent but may begin with a six-month probationary period.

Due to the nature of the operations, you cannot work from home, but we hope this will instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure. You have the opportunity to exercise during working hours and are offered a favorable wellness allowance. We also offer parental benefit supplements and up to 35 days of vacation depending on age.

We place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness, and we conduct a security assessment with register control according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. In some cases, Swedish citizenship is required.

About Us

We at the Duty and Assessment Authority work to make Sweden safer. Our main task is to examine, enroll in basic training, and register personnel in the war organization. We also conduct tests and assessments for other authorities, such as the Police and the Swedish Defence University. In short: we ensure that the right people end up in the right place in the total defense.
