About the role

As a System Developer, you will work with the development and maintenance of central systems supporting public transport infrastructure. You will be involved in the entire development chain, from requirements to delivery, and play a key role in building solutions that are sustainable, efficient, and business-oriented. You will work closely with developers, testers, business specialists, and external partners.

We are looking for someone who is confident in complex technical environments and accustomed to analyzing and breaking down problems. The work is largely independent, but within a team where knowledge sharing is central. This position is based at our headquarters in Solna, where we offer access to facilities including a gym, pool, and restaurant.

Examples of technical areas and tasks:

• System development in C++, Scala, C#, and .NET
• Handling large amounts of business logic in SQL Server (stored procedures)
• Integration with external systems (e.g., Samplan and traffic control systems)
• Work with development environments, Docker, and Kubernetes (to some extent)

Your profile

We are looking for someone interested in and experienced with Scala, C++, and SQL. Drive and interest are more important than years of experience. We view the use of AI as a natural part of the work.

You have an interest and ability to understand both technical and business needs. You thrive in complex environments and are accustomed to working close to the business, where solutions need to be both functional and commercially sustainable. We prefer that you have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience. In this role, it is a requirement that you are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Good ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
• Experience with C/C++, SQL, and a functional language (e.g., Scala or Haskell)
• Experience working in a complex system landscape with a wide variety of technologies
• Experience working close to business operations and understanding business logic and user requirements
• Extensive experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Nagios, Jenkins, Jira, or similar)

Additional qualifications include experience with:

• Linux, Kubernetes, Rancher, and Docker
• Azure, networking (firewalls, Wireshark, VPN, load balancing, etc.)
• MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes), ASP/Javascript/IIS
