The IT Department at KTH is part of KTH's Business Support and consists of around 150 employees. We develop and manage IT environments within education, research, and the administrative platform at KTH, an IT environment that is both complex and multifaceted. The User Support unit within the IT Department offers IT, audio/video, and tele-related user support to both employees and students at KTH. User support is provided via phone, email, visits to the reception desk, and on-site at the users' locations.

Local IT Support Campus is one of five organizational groups within the User Support unit and offers on-site support with the following areas in focus: the computer workstation, application support, school-specific needs such as workshops and lab environments, and other support requiring physical presence. Another important part of the group's mission is to capture and channel the organization's needs for IT support, as well as to act proactively and inform/instruct users about the IT services we offer.

We are now looking for a new colleague to fill a temporary position in our team at Local IT Support Campus.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an IT Support Technician for Level 2 within IT Support. You will perform support-related tasks including, but not limited to, installations, troubleshooting, case management via case management systems, and administration in our IT systems. The tasks also include hardware delivery, so heavy lifting may occur. You may be stationed both centrally at User Support and locally at various departments as needed.

Part of the responsibilities will also include support for KTH Entrance in IT-related questions – a coordinated reception desk for several of KTH's service functions.

You are also responsible for keeping documentation up to date to support troubleshooting or system administration.

As KTH has many international students and researchers, it is important to communicate well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Upper secondary education
• Complementary education as an IT Support Technician
• At least 4 years of documented experience in IT support/customer service and performing independent work
• At least 1 year of documented experience in problem-solving IT support
• Experience working in a case management system
• Good knowledge of PC and Mac
• Good knowledge of Outlook and other mail clients
• Experience in reading and writing documentation
• Fluent communication in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, is required in daily work
