Permanova designs and builds laser-based production equipment for manufacturing aircraft engine components using additive manufacturing and welding. About the Role

In the role of Robot Programmer, you will be an important part of the development organization and work closely with colleagues in areas such as automation, mechanical design, electrical engineering, and production. You will be involved throughout the entire project cycle, from concept development and programming to testing, commissioning, and delivery to the customer.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Programming ABB robots in RAPID
• Developing robot programs from scratch
• Offline programming and simulation in RobotStudio
• Commissioning and startup at customer sites
• Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal technical teams

Travel may occur to a limited extent in connection with commissioning, etc.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you need:

• At least 3–5 years of experience with ABB robot programming in RAPID
• Experience building robot programs from scratch, not just adjusting existing code
• Good knowledge of RobotStudio
• Experience with commissioning and startup
• Good understanding of automation cells and peripheral equipment
• Ability to read electrical and automation schematics
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good proficiency in Swedish and/or English

Meritorious experience:

• PLC programming, e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff, or Allen-Bradley
• Integration between robot and PLC
• Vision systems and ABB SafeMove
• Optics or electrical design
• Work at a system integrator or in project-based delivery organizations
• Optimization of processes and cycle times
