RESPONSIBILITIES
We now have the opportunity to welcome a biomedical laboratory scientist, biomedical scientist, or equivalent to the Flow Cytometry Unit at KIT in Lund for a fixed-term appointment of eight months.
Your responsibilities include independently performing laboratory work, evaluating and technically approving analysis results, and proposing measures and troubleshooting as needed. This is done in close collaboration with the medical directors and your colleagues. Additionally, you will work on developing new working methods and procedures to support improvements. You will also participate in the training and education of students.
With us, you will be offered a responsible, developmental, and exciting role within the expanding field of cell therapy, as well as cellular immunology and cytokines. For example, we analyze cells intended for stem cell transplantation and perform analyses related to immunodeficiency investigations. Here, we primarily work with flow cytometry, using both automated analysis instruments and manual methods. As our laboratories are accredited, you are also expected to actively contribute to our quality work.
Your working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. In the long term, once qualifications are met, on-call duties for evening shifts on certain weekdays (after 16:30) will be part of the role.

Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement.
We would appreciate it if you have previous experience in laboratory work, and it is further meritorious if you have experience with analyses performed using flow cytometry.
To thrive in this role, we see that you are meticulous, well-organized, responsible, and quality-conscious, with good skills in collaboration and communication. Furthermore, you are naturally service-oriented towards both customers and colleagues, and you see the unique patient behind every sample we process. Additionally, you have the ability to adapt when circumstances require it and contribute to a good working climate within the team. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
