Workplace Description
The Molecular Neurogenetics research group at the Department of Experimental Medical Science within the Faculty of Medicine conducts research on the human brain and its relation to diseases, and is at the international forefront in its field. The research group is led by Professor Johan Jakobsson and includes an additional 14 employees. The group is international and comprises staff within research, administration, and technical roles. We are now seeking a new Project Assistant for a project focused on the bioinformatic analysis of single-cell RNA-seq data from post-mortem tissue from patients with Parkinson's disease. Tasks and Responsibilities
The project focuses on using advanced bioinformatic methods to analyze available large-scale single-cell RNA-sequencing data from the Y chromosome in individuals with Parkinson's disease to identify sex-specific gene regulation changes. Your tasks will include various types of bioinformatic analysis.

The employment is a fixed-term appointment for a maximum of one year, 100%, with a start date of September 1, 2026, or as agreed. Employment at Lund University takes place in Sweden, so you are expected to be able to perform your work on-site in Lund.
