The position is initially a consulting assignment where you will be employed by us at Emploid and hired out to Bona.
About the role
Emploid has received renewed trust and is now helping Bona find a Quality Control Technician! Bona is a world leader in the manufacture of floor varnishes, and the team in the quality lab is a key function to ensure that this quality is maintained and continues to be at the forefront.
In the role of Quality Technician, you will primarily run routine analyses on all products Bona produces as well as on raw materials. You will work with analysis methods such as FTIR, GC, particle size determination, and titration. Additionally, you will perform practical tests to evaluate properties such as foaming and flow. Bona's pride in its products permeates the entire operation, where you will have the opportunity to be highly involved in continuously improving and streamlining the work. You will have very close collaboration with production to best ensure that daily operations run smoothly and to solve any problems that arise.
More concretely, the role includes:
- Performing chemical analyses on product samples and raw materials
- Documentation of work
- Close collaboration with production and your closest colleagues
- Being involved in continuous improvement work
About you
We are looking for someone with natural curiosity and an analytical mind – someone who wants to understand how things fit together and who methodically seeks answers when information is missing. You take responsibility for your work and always strive to deliver high-quality results. Since you will be working in shifts, in a team where collaboration and communication are crucial, you thrive in a social work environment and adapt easily to the group's dynamics. You appreciate a workplace with open and direct communication where both professional and more relaxed conversations have a place, and you actively contribute to a positive team culture.
You work best in close collaboration with colleagues and other departments and have an understanding of the importance of the business depending on your joint effort. At Bona, we value initiative and innovation – we welcome ideas and suggestions that can contribute to improvements, and we would like to see you engage in discussions and development work. While you have close collaboration with production, the role also means that you work independently in the lab environment. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability to drive your work forward on your own, take initiative, and make well-founded decisions.
Previous experience from laboratory work is an advantage, but most important is your personality and attitude. You may have worked a few hours in a lab, have an understanding of chemical analyses, or have a technical interest – the rest we will teach you on the spot. The important thing is that you are engaged, want to develop, and have a practical and solution-oriented attitude.
Therefore, we are looking for you who have:
- Upper secondary education, preferably in natural sciences, combined with lab experience
- Post-secondary education as a pharmaceutical and food technician, biomedical analyst, or equivalent
- Experience working as a process chemist, IPC chemist, or equivalent. If you are a skilled operator who has worked for a few years in the pharmaceutical, food, or chemical industry, we consider this relevant
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Experience working in a lab, preferably in process industry
- Experience from the paint or varnish industry
