Full-time Chef Position at Preschool – Cooking from Scratch for Approximately 90 Children

Do you want to prepare delicious, nutritious, and inspiring meals for children in a safe and developmental environment? We are now looking for a qualified chef for our preschool, which has five departments and approximately 90 children.

At our facility, meals are an important part of the day. All food is prepared on-site in our own kitchen, and we work according to the Swedish Food Agency's recommendations for meals in preschools. We also bake our own bread and place great emphasis on quality, variety, and the joy of eating.

Responsibilities

As a chef with us, you are responsible for the entire kitchen operations. The role includes:

• Planning and preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Creating menus based on the Swedish Food Agency's guidelines, the preschool's needs, and within budget.
• Safely handling special diets and allergies.
• Ordering food supplies and managing kitchen inventory.
• Setting and clearing tables in the dining hall.
• Responsible for dishwashing and cleaning.
• Ensuring good food hygiene and self-control according to current regulations.
• Maintaining the kitchen and related areas clean, well-organized, and pleasant.
• Baking bread and contributing to a varied and appreciated meal service.
• Managing the budget.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a qualified chef.
• Has experience working in large kitchens, preschools, schools, or similar operations.
• Has good knowledge of food hygiene, special diets, and self-control.
• Is independent and confident in managing a kitchen.
• Is structured, responsible, and has good planning skills.
• Enjoys working in an environment where children are the focus.

All employees working in the preschool must present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) for work in preschools or schools (polisen.se) and a personal reference certificate for employment (skatteverket.se). These documents only need to be shown during the interview and do not need to be attached to the application.

We also require proof of education before employment.
