Do you want to work with operations, electricity, and automation in a socially vital business where your technical skills make a real difference? We are now looking for an Operations Engineer for the energy operations at Nässjö Affärsverk AB, where you will work broadly with operations, troubleshooting, and development of facilities that deliver district heating and electricity to the community.

About the role

In the role of Operations Engineer, you are responsible for planning, monitoring, and optimizing the operation of facilities for the production of district heating and electricity. You work with troubleshooting in electricity, instruments, and control systems, and ensure that the facilities' operation monitoring systems function correctly and are updated as needed. The work also includes handling emission measurements and technical investigations related to the facilities' function and environmental requirements. The role involves broad and practical responsibility where you, together with colleagues, work to ensure high operational safety and continuous development of processes. On-call duty is included in the position and means that you participate in on-call rotation every fourth week with a response time of 30 minutes.

Your profile

To succeed in the role of Operations Engineer, we believe you have a background in electricity or automation where you have worked practically with troubleshooting and operations in an industrial environment. You thrive in a role where you get to combine technical work with problem-solving and where you have an important function in ensuring that facilities work as they should. We believe you have experience working with control systems, PLC, or other automation equipment and feel confident in analyzing operational disturbances and finding solutions when problems arise. As a person, we see you as a proactive team player who thrives with independent work and can handle time-pressured situations.

Requirements for the position:

• At least 2 years of work experience in automation, electricity, or similar roles
• Relevant technical education in automation, electricity, or similar
• The position involves on-call duty with a response time of 30 minutes, which requires you to live in or near the Nässjö area
• Category B driver's license

Merits for the position:

• Previous experience in project management
• Boiler operator training
• Experience with emission measurements
