Follow the entire automation solution – from idea to production start
Behind every functioning production line lies an idea, a technical solution, and a team that makes everything work. At NPB, you will be involved throughout the entire journey – from the initial technical discussions and solution design to PLC and HMI development, verification, commissioning, and production start.
We are a global leader in automation solutions for the metal packaging industry. Every project is unique, and our solutions are developed based on the customer's operations, production processes, and requirements. This means a daily work life where technical problem-solving, innovation, and customer adaptation are a natural part of the job.
With us, you won't become a specialist in just a small part of the process. You become part of the entire automation solution.
This is a role for you who want to work with the entire automation process and are motivated by seeing your technical solutions function in real production.
As an Automation Engineer, you participate in the development of automation solutions for customer-specific production lines. You become an important part of the project group and contribute your automation expertise through the various phases of the project – from technical solution design and PLC and HMI development to verification, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), commissioning, and production start.
The work is carried out in close collaboration with project management, mechanical design, electrical design, installation, service, and other technical functions. Together, you develop solutions that meet the customer's requirements for functionality, quality, and operational reliability.
You work both on the further development of NPB's standard platforms and the development of new customer-specific solutions. Projects vary in scope and complexity, providing a technically broad role where programming, verification, commissioning, problem-solving, and customer dialogue go hand in hand.
What will you work with?
- Participate in technical solution design together with the project group.
- Develop PLC and HMI programs for customer-specific automation solutions.
- Program, simulate, verify, and test automation systems.
- Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
- Participate in commissioning, production start, and optimization at the customer site.
- Troubleshoot and provide technical support.
- Further develop NPB's standard platforms and customer-specific solutions.
- Contribute to the development of programming methodology, technical working methods, and technical documentation.
