As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will join our R&D team of 7 people located in Stigamo, south of Jönköping. In this role, you will work on developing and improving our products with a focus on functionality, sustainability, and cost.

You will be involved throughout much of the product lifecycle and will work, among other things, with:

• Product maintenance and continuous improvements of existing products
• Creating 3D models, CAD designs, as well as production and assembly drawings
• Contributing to the optimization of designs regarding strength, weight, and lifespan
• Preparing designs for prototyping, testing, and transition to production
• Participating in design reviews and updating solutions based on test and verification results
• Collaborating with colleagues in R&D, production, and procurement to ensure manufacturability and quality

We are looking for someone who has

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or equivalent
• Some years of experience in mechanical design and strong CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks)
• Experience in sheet metal, pipe, or welded structure design
• Basic understanding of strength and materials science
• Experience with simple calculations or simulations
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

As a person, you are curious, structured, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a practical environment where you get to work close to the product and combine theory with real-world application.

We consider it a merit if you have

• Experience working in projects from design to production
• Experience from manufacturing industry, preferably within metal
• Knowledge of surface treatment (e.g., hot-dip galvanizing) or outdoor products
• Experience with product testing
• A genuine technical interest, even outside of work
