Your Role

As an Applications Engineer within the Targetry Group, you are responsible for designing and configuring our falling target systems along with associated equipment for live fire shooting ranges. The role is versatile and involves close customer contact throughout the entire project chain.

Main areas of responsibility and tasks:

• Design and Engineering: Analyze terrain and site conditions to develop suitable design documentation and layouts for the target systems.
• Customer Adaptation and Configuration: Build delivery structures and adapt software system properties according to customer needs.
• Final Configuration: Finalize sensor and moving target configuration on-site, ensuring the system meets all requirements.
• Customer Relations: Lead technical discussions and conduct tests together with the customer to demonstrate system functionality.

Travel occurs approximately once a month with overnight stays, both within Sweden and internationally.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is driven, proactive, and ready to jump in where needed. You are structured in your approach, have a high attention to detail, and easily build trust both within the organization and in collaboration with our customers.

To succeed in this role, you have:

• A practical and technical background, for example in service, installation, electrical, or mechanical fields.
• Experience with testing and associated documentation.
• Good understanding of and experience with CAD.
• Good understanding of network, telecom, and communication solutions.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English.

It is also a plus if you have understanding and experience of radio and 4G communication or additional language skills beyond Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
