Your Role
In your role as an Operational Buyer, you will work in cross-functional teams, responsible for order management, forecasting, and monitoring supplier performance. The work is characterized by a strong focus on root cause analysis, problem-solving, and proactive activities to secure future production needs. We also participate in projects where our role is central to planning and material flow.
The position is located in Linköping within the Operations business area, which is part of the Aerospace Systems business area. You will collaborate with functions within production, planning, and the entire Sourcing & Supply organization. The role involves working in an international environment with many different interfaces, both internally and externally. Since a large part of the supplier base is located abroad, business travel is also part of the role.
As the area is currently in an exciting growth phase, the role offers you a great opportunity to be part of the journey forward and actively contribute to the development of processes, ways of working, and the team's competence. In this role, you are also offered the chance to take on more extensive responsibility and, with your expertise, contribute in a more driving and leading role within operational procurement.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in procurement – preferably in combination with a relevant university education such as a Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in procurement, logistics, economics, or similar. Experience in procurement within manufacturing operations is considered an asset.
As a person, you are a humble team player with a business mindset and good communication skills. You are analytical and can handle large amounts of data in a structured manner. We believe you are a driven and responsible person who takes initiative and works proactively. With your solution-oriented and positive attitude, you see opportunities where others see obstacles and tackle challenges with great commitment and focus.
We would like you to have:
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel
- Experience working in or with ERP systems (preferably IFS)
- Experience from manufacturing operations with a lean focus
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
