Tollarps School is a grades 1-9 school with two parallel classes and approximately 470 students, and Linderöds School is a smaller grades 1-3 school with approximately 30 students. Welcome to become part of our operations!

Your role with us

As a school counselor with us, you will work with common school counseling tasks such as guidance, support conversations, information, and investigations. You create good relationships with both students and guardians as well as staff. Investigations regarding absenteeism and assessments of students' social and psychosocial situations are part of the assignment. The work you do takes place at both group and individual levels through, among other things, value-based work, support, and motivational conversations.

The work takes place in close collaboration with the counselor colleague, principals, special education teachers, school nurse, and other school staff. Collaboration with external actors such as the Employment and Welfare Administration and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is also included. An interest in working in teams with different professions and understanding of each other's professional roles is of utmost importance. Great emphasis is placed on preventive and promoting work together with other school staff.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who have a Bachelor of Social Work degree, and we would appreciate it if you had training in motivational interviewing and rePULSE. Experience working with children and adolescents from a promoting and preventive perspective is seen as meritorious. Previous work as a school counselor or social worker is also positive. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the Social Services Act and the Education Act.

In your work, you are structured, clear, and have the ability to take initiative and make decisions within the framework of your assignment. We see that you can independently and in collaboration with others act for the best interest of children and students, as well as be motivated by meeting people in different life situations and with different needs for support.

You systematically reflect on the practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the team and at the school. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing and to document in the operational system Prorenata.
