Your new job

As a special needs educator (specialpedagog) with us, you are an expert in pedagogical matters. This may involve investigative work, staff supervision, and working with individual students.

The work is planned and carried out in close collaboration with school leadership, the rest of the student health team, and teacher working groups. Collaborating with guardians, external operations, and authorities such as central resource units, social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation services is part of the assignment.

The school will consist of approximately 750 students in grades 7–9 and is located in the central parts of Jönköping. We offer proximity to the city center with its facilities and are just a ten-minute walk from Jönköping City Park.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in special needs education. Experience working with middle school students is an advantage.

You are a stable person with a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are engaged, creative, receptive, and empathetic. You have excellent collaboration skills and can lead and participate in various networks. You are structured and driven in quality work, documentation, and can work independently. Naturally, you have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, both in groups and individually. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Before employing new staff in our teaching positions, we must ensure that a valid teacher license exists.
