Västbergaskolan AB is an independent primary school offering education from preschool class to grade 9, as well as a special needs school (adapted primary school) from preschool class to grade 9, a leisure-time center, and short-term supervision according to the LSS Act. For the 2023–24 academic year, the school has 760 students, of whom 746 are in the main primary school (3 classes per grade) and 15 are in the special needs school.

We are looking for you who possess knowledge of, among other things, autism and intellectual disability, and have professional experience from working in a special needs school.

You must be confident and clear in your leadership, share the school's student-centered vision, and have good knowledge of the school's governing documents. Personal suitability is of great importance to us.

Qualifications

  • You have a completed post-secondary education and relevant training and/or experience for the position.
  • Previous experience working in a special needs school.
  • Education in autism.
  • Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), e.g., picture and sign support.
  • Previous experience with complex behavioral challenges.

Previous experience within the LSS sector is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

The position requires good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

A police certificate (extract from the criminal record) is required upon offer of employment within preschool, preschool class, leisure-time center, primary school, special needs school, and other pedagogical activities according to the Education Act (2010:800, Chapter 2, Sections 31–33).

We apply a 6-month probationary period.

Interviews are conducted continuously throughout the advertisement period.
