At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. We are a total of around 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are looking for a Business Expert for the Unit for Economy and Business Control in Sundbyberg, Norrköping, or Gothenburg. Here, you will work with current societal issues that are affected by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that touch and engage. The Unit's Mission
About 20 experts work at the Unit for Economy and Business Control with forecasting, planning, control, and follow-up of the agency's economy and operations. The unit is responsible for several cross-agency processes, such as forecasting, business plans, budget allocation, budget basis, and annual reports.
We work in teams based on shared values. This includes, among other things, sharing knowledge and seeking collaborations within and outside the unit. We value an interest in both economics and operations, as we solve many tasks together. Together, we create value for the agency throughout the entire chain, from planning and forecasting to follow-up and annual reporting.
What does a Business Expert do?
You will be part of the work with the agency's overarching annual calendar for planning and follow-up. You will help produce decision support materials, proposals, and recommendations that strengthen the agency's control and goal achievement.
You contribute with strategic analyses based on new legislation, changes in the external environment, economic conditions, and/or operational follow-up. The analyses are often conducted in collaboration with other competencies and are of an overarching nature.
The Unit for Economy and Business Control has a broad mission where you are expected to contribute to more processes and tasks based on needs and opportunities.
Who are you?
We are looking for a person who adapts easily to new conditions and assignments. You are unpretentious, structured, and find it interesting to work with improvements and new solutions. You are a quality-conscious person with a good holistic view who does not get stuck in details but can maintain an overarching perspective. You should also feel comfortable working under time pressure during certain periods and delivering materials with short deadlines.
You have a good ability to listen and communicate with others, and it is natural for you to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way. You work well with other people and value collaboration highly. You take responsibility for your area as well as the unit's and can independently evaluate and prioritize what creates value for the agency.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Qualifications
- Relevant academic education of at least 120 credits.
- Current and multi-year experience in analysis and follow-up within public sector business planning.
- Good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
Meritorious qualifications
- Statistical knowledge, including the collection of quantitative data.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Migration Agency's operations and mission.
- Current experience working as a Business Expert at the Swedish Migration Agency.
Information
Employment type: Permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.
Working hours: Office hours, with the possibility of agreement on flexible working hours. Possibility of remote work for certain periods according to agreement.
Location: Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, or Norrköping
Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement
