Do you want to help develop the management of an important and dynamic administration? As a Business Controller at Kretslopp och Vatten (Cycles and Water), you work with controlling and development from a holistic perspective. The role involves a central position in the administration's control system, ensuring functioning processes within business planning, follow-up, risk management, and control.

Together with your colleagues in the controlling team, you create structure and methodology and provide support for effective business management. Common tasks in the role include creating schedules for planning and follow-up, risk management, and control, as well as process-leading, supporting, and coordinating follow-ups such as interim and annual reports, internal control, and risk analyses. You identify deviations and areas for improvement and provide data for decision-making. The role includes a specific assignment to collect, process, and analyze statistics within water and sewage for both internal and external purposes and reporting.

This role will also be responsible for the development and administration of Stratsys, Gothenburg City's IT system for business management. This involves operational work in the system where you specifically coordinate business planning and follow-up.

In your role, you assist the department manager with compilations, reports, and materials and presentations for the administration leadership and board.

The position is located in the Strategic Coordination department. The department is responsible for structure, methods, and tools to plan, follow up, and develop operations. Strategic Coordination is also responsible for the annual fee process and the construction of fees, as well as the coordination of research and innovation, environmental and climate work, and administration-wide consultations. The department consists of eight employees with positions such as strategist, administration controller, business controller, business developer, environmental strategist, and investigator.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university degree in a relevant area, such as public administration, and who has at least two years of experience in similar tasks within public operations.

The position involves producing reports and conducting analyses, which requires very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. If you also have experience working with Stratsys and experience working within the water/sewage or waste industry, we consider this to be meritorious.

To succeed in the role, we see that you are structured, responsible, and collaboration-oriented with a focus on results and quality. You thrive in a role where you switch between steering, supporting, and following up, and have the ability to see both the big picture and details. With good analytical skills, you can handle complex issues and turn them into feasible solutions. You are a confident communicator, express yourself clearly in speech and writing, and feel comfortable leading meetings as well as participating in working groups and networks.
