Then apply for the role of teacher in our small special education group for grades 6–9 at Saltsjöbadens Samskola.

This is a fixed-term position of 60–70 percent, starting in August and ending in December. There is potential for extension and increased working hours.

Your Role

In this role, you teach students in grades 6–9 within a special education group. Depending on your subject qualifications and experience, you will teach mathematics, Swedish, and/or English. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching based on the national curriculum. You adapt the teaching to meet the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You monitor, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role includes shared mentorship, where you are responsible for building trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You work in a team consisting of teachers, student coaches, and a special educator, led by the special educator. You collaborate closely with the student health team.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility for grades 7–9 in mathematics or Swedish.
• A strong interest in working with students who need extra support.
• Good digital competence and experience with digital pedagogical tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish.

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Subject eligibility for grades 7–9 in English.
• Experience working as a teacher in primary/secondary school.
• Experience working with adolescents.
• Experience teaching mathematics, Swedish, and/or English in grades 6–9.
• Experience working with students requiring additional adjustments and special support.

Saltsjöbadens Samskola is a grades F–9 school with approximately 900 students. Here, students encounter high-quality teaching in a safe and pleasant environment.
