Sjöarp Group Housing is tasked with meeting the member municipalities' needs for placements of adults with autism and complex challenges. Sjöarp offers integrated housing and day activities in a calm and secure environment just outside Bräkne-Hoby.

Sjöarp Group Housing has a total of 13 residential places distributed across 5 housing units. The target group is diverse. Some residents have greater care needs, while others may have high-functioning autism.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

As a therapist/caregiver, you support the client with personal care and a meaningful daily life. This is a temporary position within day activities where you accompany the client throughout the day and adapt activities to the client's needs and conditions.

To create security for the clients, we use clarifying pedagogy, rooted in TEACCH pedagogy, as well as low-arousal approaches and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have relevant post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, or pedagogy, or alternatively relevant upper secondary education such as healthcare and care or child and youth work with a focus on pedagogical and social work. Most importantly, you must have experience in similar work. Experience in dealing with individuals with self-harming or aggressive behavior is also a plus.

The role requires you to have a calm and secure demeanor and strong collaboration skills. Quality assurance work and documentation require clear communication skills (both verbal and written) and computer proficiency.

You must have a valid B-class driver's license (manual transmission) and a clean certificate from the police's suspicion register and criminal record.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-03 or as agreed. Rolling selection, end date: 2027-01-03.
