Your Mission

As a Unit Manager, you are responsible for a unit within the Technology Division tasked with providing FRA with the technical systems needed for operations. The Division develops and procures new systems and manages the operation and maintenance of existing systems. The unit belongs to a section within the Office for Global Collection and Processing.

As a Unit Manager, you are responsible for leading the unit regarding personnel, operations, work environment, and line budget in accordance with the Division's processes and set goals. You collaborate closely with other Unit Managers, leading roles in our technology governance, and are part of one of the Office's section leadership teams. You are expected to actively participate in operational development by collaborating within and across Office and Division boundaries, as well as building trusting partnerships with other parts of the agency.

As a Unit Manager, you will work with a developmental leadership style, which includes among other things:

• Trust-based leadership
  You are a role model and take responsibility. You ensure good competence supply and development adapted to the organization's goals and needs, and ensure that the work environment within the unit is stable and pleasant.
• Motivating leadership
  You inspire employees and work continuously in a coaching manner, contributing to stability, transparency, and equality.
• Agile leadership
  You remove obstacles and create and maintain routines and conditions for deliveries.

Domestic and international travel is required for this position.

What You Bring

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant multi-year education in computer science or similar, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience
• Multi-year work experience in leadership within a technical delivery organization
• Multi-year work experience in budgeting
• Good computer skills
• Knowledge of system development
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Management experience with personnel responsibility
• Experience within intelligence services
• Experience working according to the SAFe framework
• Knowledge of IT and information security
• Category B driver's license

The workplace is located in the Gothenburg area. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security classification. Before employment, you will undergo a security check in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be placed on the war establishment.
