The goal of gender equality work in Sweden is for women and men to have equal power and opportunities to shape society and their own lives. The work covers issues such as power and influence, economy, health, education, work, and bodily integrity.
The Swedish Gender Equality Agency is responsible for ensuring that the government's gender equality policy gains traction by contributing to the effective implementation of gender equality policies. The Agency's task is to coordinate, follow up, and provide support in various ways within the areas of gender equality. The Swedish Gender Equality Agency is an LGBTQIA+ strategic agency, which means that the Agency must promote the equal rights and opportunities of LGBTQIA+ persons in its operations.
The Swedish Gender Equality Agency is undergoing reorganization, opening up new opportunities. The Agency is now seeking a Division Manager for the Analysis Division.
Job Description
The Analysis Division manages and develops various types of cross-agency functions and is divided into four units: The Statistics Unit, The Research Cooperation and Development Unit, The Sub-goal Analysis Unit, and The National Strategy Follow-up Unit.
As Division Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating the operations of the Analysis Division. The role involves leading and developing the Agency's analysis, follow-up, and statistical activities. You create good conditions for employees and work purposefully to build a common direction for the entire division. The division plays a central role in monitoring and analyzing progress towards gender equality policy goals. Through statistics, research-based analyses, mapping, reports, and knowledge materials, the division contributes to the government's steering and development of gender equality policy. The role entails clear responsibility for methodology, quality, priorities, and the long-term development of analysis and follow-up work. You are the direct manager of four unit managers and lead the division's management group.
You are part of the Agency's management group and report directly to the Director General.

The position is a permanent full-time employment. The Swedish Gender Equality Agency has offices in central Gothenburg. We may apply a 6-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Travel is required for the position.
