About the Assignment
We are looking for an experienced and proactive interim Division Manager for a Swedish government agency located in Borås.
The agency performs assignments for other government agencies, as well as for companies and industry organizations. The role involves leading the accreditation operations during a transition period, ensuring high quality, stability, and delivery capability while the operations are developed and modernized.
As Division Manager, you are responsible for a unit with approximately 60 permanent employees and around 250 procured technical experts. You will lead the operations through change and development, with a special focus on digitalization, AI, and future ways of working.
You have personnel responsibility for four unit managers as well as staff functions, and you are a member of the agency's management group, reporting directly to the Acting Director General.
The assignment covers approximately 900 hours during the period until January 31, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the operations of the Accreditation Division.
- Ensure high quality, efficiency, and goal achievement.
- Responsible for operational planning, budgeting, and follow-up.
- Lead and coach subordinate managers and employees.
- Drive change and development work.
- Contribute to the agency's strategic development as a member of the management group.
- Identify and implement opportunities within digitalization and AI.
- Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency requirements.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant higher education or university degree.
- Has documented experience in leading managers and larger operations.
- Has experience in strategic operational development, budgeting, and change management.
- Is accustomed to making decisions and driving development in complex organizations.
- Has a good understanding of how digitalization and AI can contribute to operational development.
- Is a clear and confident leader with the ability to create engagement and results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience from the public sector, government agency, or municipal operations.
- Experience leading large-scale change and digitalization projects.
