I am now looking for you, who primarily want to work daytime hours 09:00–16:00, but also occasionally evenings 19:00–22:00 and weekends 10:00–16:00 and 19:00–22:00. The position is to be filled immediately with the possibility of permanent employment this autumn.

I am a 55-year-old man living with my wife and our cat outside of Helsingborg. I am a former musician, but due to my illness, I can no longer play music except via computer.

I enjoy both cooking and eating good food, so to my wife's delight, I am somewhat of a hobby chef. I also enjoy spending time in our garden, and when I have the energy, there is always something to do there.

I try to be as active as I can, but quite often my energy runs out by lunchtime. Therefore, you will be my arms and legs, and your main task is to facilitate things as much as possible so that I can conserve my energy.

My wife and I sometimes go out to meet family and friends or to eat a good meal somewhere. We drive our own car, and you will accompany us. You may also be asked to accompany me to doctor's appointments, where the need for assistance may vary depending on the nature of the visit.

As soon as we are outdoors, you will help me by pushing my manual wheelchair in a calm and safe manner. The ground is uneven, and I can easily lose my balance if you are not attentive to holes or stones that could cause a sudden stop.

What the job entails in practice: Working as a personal assistant for me means stepping in where my muscles fail in all situations of life. This includes everything from daily tasks such as morning routines and personal hygiene, to helping me cook, doing household chores, and working in the garden.

As a person, you are: Open, perceptive, and confident in yourself. You are good at following and remembering instructions. Flexibility is extremely important in this profession. I am a wonderfully human person, which means there may be situations in my daily life that require you to be solution-focused. You should be male, fluent in Swedish, non-smoking, and not allergic to fur-bearing animals. A driver's license and your own car are a plus but not a requirement.

The salary is approx. 150 SEK/hour + overtime and holiday pay (collective agreement applies). The reason the hourly rate is at this level is due to the government's inadequate adjustment of the assistance allowance, so please direct any frustration there. Instead, I offer a workplace based on care, reciprocity, and partnership. I believe we will go far with this approach in life.
