Do you have extensive experience in qualified investigative or legislative work and are you interested in the preparatory areas of the Finance Committee?
The Swedish Parliament Administration is an agency tasked with facilitating the work of the Riksdag (Parliament). Approximately 750 politically neutral employees work at the Swedish Parliament Administration on a wide variety of tasks. We are now looking for an acting rapporteur for the Finance Committee's secretariat.
Your responsibilities
The work mainly involves preparing cases, typically government bills, written questions, and motions, presenting them to the committee members, and drafting proposals for reports to serve as the basis for the Riksdag's decisions. The duties also include following up on the Riksdag's decisions and monitoring EU work within the committee's preparatory area. As a civil servant in the committee, you assist all political parties.
Your qualifications
You must have an academic degree with a social science focus and several years of experience in qualified investigative or legislative work from the Swedish Parliament Administration, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, or another government agency. Good knowledge of the working methods of the Riksdag and the Chancellery, as well as knowledge within the Finance Committee's preparatory area, is meritorious. Experience working in a politically directed organization is also meritorious. For the role, it is important that you have very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
The work requires that you can quickly adapt to new tasks, have a well-developed analytical ability, are meticulous, and can work under time pressure. It is important that you can work independently but also function well in a small group. The secretariat is a relatively small unit, and parts of the work are carried out in close collaboration between employees. Therefore, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
Employee engagement is important to us. Working with us means that you are expected to act in accordance with our view of employee engagement: achieving results, developing, and collaborating. The employment is fixed-term from October 2026 until the end of June 2027, but may potentially be extended.
The position is security-classified, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a passed security clearance check. We welcome applicants with different experiences and backgrounds.
- Scope: Full-time
